Anna was born in Munich Germany. She grew up between South Africa, Stuttgart and Regensburg Germany. Anna starred in her first film at age 15 along side Peter Sattmann and Leslie Malton. Continuing to appear in diverse roles, in 2001 Anna starred in Ice Planet with Director Rick Kolbe and the critically acclaimed TV film Ein Dorf sucht seinen Mörder.
Anna reached a wider audience in the cinema with her role of Jana in the comedy Kleinruppin Forever. She also appeared in Octoberfest, Mitfahrer, and Neun Szenen. Neun Szenen premiered at the Berlinale in 2006, and was directed by her older brother Dietrich. In 2006 Anna was nominated for both the Bunte New Faces Award and Studio Hamburg Nachwuchspreis (Best Newcomer).
